To provide an inkjet printer that reuses ink by treating the ink collected by a purging operation therein and to provide a printer wherein an economic effect is enhanced by suppressing the running cost and the number of times for maintenance such as supplying of ink.
This inkjet printer comprises a print head having a nozzle for ejecting ink drops, an ink bottle for supplying ink to the print head, a cap mechanism for maintenance of the print head, a purging mechanism for sucking the ink, and a wiper blade for cleaning the surface of the print head. The inkjet printer further comprises a filter means for filtering the ink discharged from the print head through the cap mechanism, a viscosity treating means for treating the viscosity of the collected ink discharged from the print head, and a deaerating means for performing a deaerating treatment of the collected ink.
