To reduce the number of interconnections necessary for control of ink firing elements.
The inkjet printing system is equipped with a substrate on a printing head with a minimum of approximately 300 ink firing chambers, the ink firing chambers, an addressing circuit on the substrate which connects with each ink firing element so as to selectively energize the ink firing elements of the ink firing chambers, a firing circuit on a printing cartridge which stores the printing head connected with the addressing circuit so as to send a firing signal to the ink firing elements, and an interconnection electrical line which connects with the addressing circuit means and the firing circuit from an inkjet printer. A total number of interconnection lines is not larger than approximately 1/3 of the number of the ink firing elements on the substrate. The ink firing chambers each equipped with the ink firing element are arranged separately from each other at predetermined intervals to provide printing of a minimum of approximately 600 dots per inch. The ink firing chambers extend while making a direction at right angles to a scanning direction of the printing head a longitudinal direction, and are arranged in at least two separate arrays distanced each other via an interval in a lateral direction.
