Abstract:

To provide an inkjet recorder which prevents damage of a recorder body or a thick paper medium to be recorded by being collided with a driven roller, its holding member, a recording head, etc., when the thick paper medium to be recorded is inserted into the recorder from the downstream side.

The inkjet recorder has a mechanism for releasing a paper discharge driven roller at the time of printing the thick paper medium to be recorded, a mechanism for separating and press contacting a transfer roller and its dependent roller upon necessities, and also a carriage lifting mechanism. A locking mechanism for preventing the thick paper medium to be recorded from being inserted more than necessary is set at the downstream side of a carriage.
