Abstract:
To provide a detection method of floating of an ink jet recording device and recording medium which can discriminate and detect a state led to the wasteful consumption of the recording medium more properly.SOLUTION: An ink jet recording device includes: a conveyance part which conveys a recording medium placed on a conveyance surface; an ink discharge part which discharges ink to the recording medium conveyed by the conveyance part; a detection part which detects the floating of the recording medium from the conveyance surface at the prescribed position on the upstream side with respect to the ink discharge part in the conveyance direction of the recording medium by the conveyance part; discrimination means which discriminates whether or not the floating of the recording medium satisfies a prescribed condition related to the continuous state of the floating in the conveyance direction on the basis of the detection result by the detection part; and processing means which performs prescribed processing when the discrimination means discriminates that the condition is satisfied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
