Abstract:
To provide a user with a printing result object with high satisfaction of the user.SOLUTION: An ink jet recording device comprises: a result reading unit 18 which has an image reading sensor provided at a position facing a conveyance path between an image recording position and a discharge tray and reads a result image from a printing result object after an image recording unit 12 records an image on a sheet; a difference detection unit 102 which detects a difference between the result image and a document image shown by document image data on the basis of the image data of the result image and the document image data; and a place detection unit 107 which detects a place of stain in the printing result object indicated by the difference. A sheet conveyance unit 19 includes: an offset mechanism which shifts a discharged sheet in the sheet width direction; and a control unit 100 which controls the offset mechanism to shift the printing result object in the sheet width direction with the place of stain in the printing result object detected by the place detection unit 107 excluded and discharge the printing result object to a discharge tray 151.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
