Abstract:

PURPOSE: To restrict noise in usage, and eliminate danger of damaging a rotary finishing surface of a distribution rotor.

CONSTITUTION: A fuel injection pump 1 repeats a series of actions of suction, pressurization, and distribution, where a distribution rotor 13 is pushed by a spring 41 in such a direction as to get apart from a drive shaft 17, with a pressure surface 13c pushed to a bearing 43 for its motion in a thrust direction to be restricted. Collision of a protrusion 83 provided on the distribution rotor 13 with a stop groove 81 provided in a drive shaft 17 to generate noise at a coupling 8 can thus be eliminated. Because distortion of contact of a rotary finishing surface as an outer circumferential surface of a small diameter part 13a of the distribution rotor 13 with an inner circumferential surface of a cylinder 12 by above collision is also eliminated. damaging of the rotary finishing surface of the small diameter part 13a is eliminated.
