Abstract:

PURPOSE: To set the flow-out of a supersonic nozzle used for high temperature test of 'flat surface plate' type test piece to a steady flow of as uniform pressure distribution as possible.
CONSTITUTION: The inner contour nozzle comprises an axis symmetrical converting part 1 and throat 2 region on the one hand and a hyperelliptical section diverging part 3 on two linear buses taken at planes perpendicular to one another on the other hand. The one G1 of the buses has a short axis of about 1° of a gradient, and the other G2 has a long axis of about 10° of a gradient. A plurality of downstream ends of the corresponding circular bus of the throat 2 region are coupled to the short and long axis buses by curves. The equations of the curve are first and second derived functions being continuous and third derived function being monotonous to remove or reduce the recompression problem and possible impact format.
