PURPOSE: To provide the titled bead removing device enabling to remove beads efficiently with gathering O2 gas from the bead side part to a bead part, by directing two pieces of scarfing nozzles for close to a sean welding position and by arranging symmetrically on a seam both scarfing nozzles.
CONSTITUTION: An electric welded tube 1 is produced by forming a skelp in circular shape and performing an electric resistance welding by pressing by a squeese roll so as to abut both edges 5, while O2 gas is spouted from a scarfing nozzle 9 and auxiliary heating nozzle 13 by feeding a pressurized O2 to an oxygen conduit pipe 7 and 13. The O2 gas jetted from the nozzle 9 is flowed toward the seam along the inner peripheral face of the pipe 1 from the side part of the bead 6 and removes excess bead 6 by blowing off with oxidation the high temp. bead 6. Because of the O2 gas flowing so as to gather to the bead part at this moment, the O2 gas acts without waste on the bead removal and removes the bead 6 easily due to its high density. The O2 gas sprayed on the head 6 is directed for the upstream side and diffused in the air from an open pipe 2.
