PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of defective slide and the stick of a plunger without exercising an influence on slide of the plunger even when the plungers are collided with each other.
CONSTITUTION: In an inner surface cam type injection pump, the part, where the side of a protrusion part 7a is transferred from the base end side to the tip side, of a plunger 7 fronting on a compression chamber 8 is formed, in a protrusion shape. The protrusion shape consists of slopes in a multistage having inclinations based on the axis of the plunger 7 which are different from each other. Even if the protrusion shape is formed in an arcuate shape, an overhang part protruded from a side may be formed at a side except the base end side of the protrusion part. This constitution prevents the occurrence of collision at the shoulder part 7c of the plunger, prevents deformation of the shoulder part 7c, and prevents the occurrence of defective slide and the stick of the plunger.
