To provide an inner wire for forming a catheter with which a single catheter can be applied to a plurality of regions without requiring high technique of an operator.
The inner wire for forming the catheter has a wire part and a connector part to which a proximal-side end of the wire part is fixed, is formed of a flexible material and is used by inserting the wire part into a hollow catheter tube having a shape suitable for a first application region. The wire part is formed of a material having a diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the catheter tube and flexural modulus higher than that of the catheter tube. The wire part has a shape which deforms the catheter tube into a shape suitable for a second application region different from the first application region when the wire part is inserted into the catheter tube.
