To provide inorganic composite particles which have an excellent flowability, packability and moldability, further have excellent thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity and are adequate as molding sand or aggregate, a simple method of manufacturing the inorganic composite particles, sand for casting or aggregate consisting of the inorganic composite particles and a casting consisting of the inorganic composite particles as the molding sand or aggregate and having the excellent smoothness, mechanical characteristics, etc., of its surface.
The inorganic composite particles which are formed by coating inorganic particles with graphite by a binder and in which the coating weight of the graphite is 0.1 to 50 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. inorganic particles and the weight ratio of the binder to the graphite is 0.002 to 2, the method of manufacturing the inorganic composite particles which includes a process step of mixing together 0.1 to 50 pts.wt. graphite and 0.1 to 50 pts.wt. binder of 5 to 95% in residual carbon rate with 100 pts.wt. inorganic particles and specifies the weight ratios of the binder to the graphite in the inorganic composite particles to 0.002 to 2 and the sand for the casting or aggregate consisting of the inorganic composite particles as well as the molding consisting of the inorganic composite particles as the molding sand or aggregate.
