Title:
INORGANIC INSULATED WIRE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02270214
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To increase elasticity and enable manufacturing of a long wire by a method wherein an insulator is constituted by winding a glass tape with specific thickness around a conductor and a thin coat of lead is applied on the outermost layer.

CONSTITUTION: A conductor 1 may be a single wire or a stranded wire, but a stranded wire is more excellent in elasticity than a single wire so that a large-sized wire can be manufactured. A glass tape 3 with no treatment or with varnish soaked is wound around the conductor 1, then a glass thread winding 4 for preventing the glass tape 2 from being frayed, and lead 5 is coated on the outermost layer. Thus an entirely elastic electric wire can be obtained since lead 5 is soft metal, and since taping and lead coating can be done on a long distance, a long string of electric wire can be manufactured.
