Abstract:
To provide an input device and an input system which allow improvement in design flexibility of electrical characteristics relating to viscosity control of a magnetic viscous fluid.SOLUTION: An input device 1 comprises an operation body 2, a rotor 3, a magnetic viscous fluid 4, and a magnetic field generation part 5. The rotor 3 rotates along with the operation of the operation body 2. By coming into contact with the rotor 3, the magnetic viscous fluid 4 generates resistance force against the rotation of the rotor 3. By applying a magnetic field to the magnetic viscous fluid 4, the magnetic field generation part 5 changes the viscosity of the magnetic viscous fluid 4, thereby changing the magnitude of the resistance force. The magnetic field generation part 5 has a plurality of coils 51, 52 each of which causes the magnetic field to act on the magnetic viscous fluid 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
