Abstract:
To enhance operability of an input device employed in a motion control device with non-annular grips.SOLUTION: An input device 10 provided herein is installed in a steering device 20. The steering device 20 comprises a right grip 22 and a shaft part 23. The shaft part 23 is configured to be rotational about a first axis A1 and the rotation thereof is associated with a first controlled motion. The right grip 22 is turnable along a turning path P centered on the first axis A1 and has a shape that can be gripped by a right hand 42 of a driver and allows movement of the right hand 42 across the turning path P. An annular member 11 is capable of receiving an input operation of turning the annular member about a second axis A2 extending in a direction non-parallel to the first axis A1 viewing from a direction along the first axis A1. An outer peripheral surface of the annular member 11 is provided with multiple marks corresponding to multiple second controlled motions different from the first controlled motion. A control signal is output to execute one of the multiple second controlled motions corresponding to one of the multiple marks located at a given position in the turning direction of the annular member 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
