PURPOSE: To record or display shifted characters securely in an easy way, by employing the constitution which shifts the contents of a key buffer, stored with pieces of information on input keys, from one side to the other through prescribed operation.

CONSTITUTION: An MPU7 is connected with a key buffer 3 mutually and input key information is stored in this buffer 3. The key buffer 3 is connected to a CRT6 through a CRT control part 5. The data stored in the key buffer 3 are displayed successively on the CRT6 at the lowermost stage. Information stored in a buffer 4, on the other hand, is displayed successively at a prescribed part of the CRT through the CRT controller 5. Data inputted on a keyboard typewriter 1 are sent to the MPU7 through a keyboard control part 2. Then, the data are displayed successively at the lowermost stage of the CRT6 through the key buffer 3. Data in the CRT buffer 4 are displayed successively at other parts of the CRT except the lowermost stage.
