Title:
INPUT SYSTEM FOR DRAWN PICTURE COMMAND
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6029828
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To simplify the structure and allow numbers of inputs by detecting the number of strokes of a drawn picture, etc., and transmitting commands corresponding to drawn picture symbols to a subscriber line and inputting the command.

CONSTITUTION: A terminal device consists of a pen 1, digitizer 2, display device 3, and processor 4. When this terminal device inputs four kinds of command to a communication network, symbols shown in a figure are assigned to the respective commands. When a command is inputted, the symbol is drawn on the digitizer 2 with a pen 1, and the processor 4 scans its coordinates to discriminate and store coordinate values at every specific period, and detects whether the drawn picture has a terminal point or not from the coordinate values to perform sampling and patterning. The result is collated with the standard pattern of each symbol mentioned above to decide on the symbol of the drawn picture, and sends out the corresponding command to the subscriber line 5.
