PURPOSE: To provide the input system for a table format, by which trouble for defining a table in advance is saved, and also, a storage area of a main storage device is used efficiently.

CONSTITUTION: A data insertion area is displayed together with a real table on a screen of a display device (S3), and when data is inputted (S4), a position of a cursor is confirmed (S6), and in the case its position is in a field insertion area or a record insertion area, a call of a one-field portion or a one-record portion is inserted and displayed between the real table and the field insertion area or the record insertion area (S7, S10), and also, the cursor is moved to the corresponding position of the inserted field or record (S8, S11), and data is inputted to the position in which its cursor exists (S9).
