Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an insecticidal container capable of effectively preventing damage from insect pests.
CONSTITUTION: An insecticidal container consists of repelling light sources 2 for emitting a repelling light to insects, reflecting plates 5 and 6 for reflecting insects attracted by the repelling light sources 2 and insect catching means 9-12 set below the reflecting plates 5 and 6. The repelling light sources 2 are ring-shaped fluorescent lamps for emitting a repelling light or slantingly set fluorescent lamps of straight pipes, the insect catching means have blowers 9 and 10 for sucking insects and a catching net 12 and the reflecting plates 5 and 6 reflect the repelling light to the circumference and drop the attracted insects to the insect catching means 9-12 below. By the above-mentioned constitution, insects are avoided by the repelling light sources 2, flying insects without being repelled can be caught by the reflecting plates 5 and 6 and the insect collecting means 9-12. Shades just at the top or in the vicinity of the container can be eliminated to raise repelling effects and catching effects.
