Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an insert in high production rate by laminating porous polymer sheets to fibrous material sheets by an air-permeable adhesive, mutually adjoining the fibrous materials, butting them, making the adhesive flow and bonding the laminates along the outline route. CONSTITUTION: Porous polymer membrane sheets 1 and 1' having air permeability and waterproofness are laminated to fibrous material sheets 3 and 3' by using continuous films of adhesives 2 and 2' composed of an air-permeable thermoplastic polymer, two sheets of the laminates are arranged together and the fibrous materials 3 and 3' are mutually adjoined to form a layer structure in a butted state. A mold containing a heating element 22 corresponding to the outline of a product is placed on the laminates 20 and 21, the mold 23 is heated and the air-permeable thermoplastic adhesive polymers 2 and 2' are made to flow mutually through the fibrous materials 3 and 3' of the laminates 20 and 21 and the laminates 20 and 21 are bonded along the outline route of the laminates 20 and 21 to give the objective insert.
