PURPOSE: To lead an impermeable membrane fed from the upper section of a trench, into the internal section of the trench, by excavating the trench vertically at the position of the impermeable membrane to be set in ground, and by setting a pipe with suction ports opened on the bottom section of the trench, to joint a vertical pipe to an end section and to apply negative pressure to the vertical pipe.
CONSTITUTION: At a position for setting an impermeable membrane 1, a trench 3 is excavated, and the internal section is filled up with muddy water 31. After that, in the internal section, a suction pipe 2 is settled to be set, and on both the sides, vertical pipe sections 22 are permitted to rise up to a ground level, and to the partial section, a suction pump 23 is jointed. Then, from the suction ports 24 of a horizontal pipe section 21, the muddy water 31 in the internal section of the trench 3 is sucked up, and is moved upward through the vertical pipe sections 22, and the muddy water 31 is returned to the trench 3 again from a drain pipe, and the muddy water 31 in the internal section of the trench 3 is set to be continuous current directed downward. Besides, when the impermeable membrane 1 is inserted in the longitudinal direction, then it is drawn by the current of the muddy water 31 and slides into the internal section. As a result, the thin impermeable membrane 1 is not broken, but is inserted to be set, and the work can be economically executed.
