PURPOSE: To enable easy insertion of optical fibers to a distributing pin and prevention of a damage by using impellers for holding orderly the terminal parts of the optical fibers.

CONSTITUTION: One terminal part of each optical fiber 2 is wound in the outside circumferential groove of the ring 18c of a winder for optical fibers consisting of frame plates 18 and press plates 19 and the other terminal part is wound on the other winder. The bosses 18a of the plates 18 are inserted into holes 11a for the bosses and are attracted to magnetic pieces 11b, by which the winders are mounted to the corresponding impellers 11 mounted to respective impeller shafts 10 within the same plane. The optical fiber 2 at both ends of an optical fiber distributing pin 1 can be easily inserted and adhered into the slit of the pin 1. When the insertion of the fiber 2 into a series of the slits is finished, the shafts 10 are revolved and the fiber 2 wound to the next impeller 11 is extended on the pin 1. The pin 1 is also rotated so as to position a series of the succeeding slits above, by which the fibers 2 are inserted.
