To provide an insertion aid with a rod-shaped member 3 whose distal end is inserted into an engagement hole 104 formed in a projecting part 103 in a bowl-shaped stomach internal fixing part 102 at the distal end of a gastrostomy tube, allowing a body 101 of the gastronomy tube to be strongly drawn in the axial tail direction without trouble.
A stepped part 33 to abut to the projecting part 103 when the insertion aid is inserted into the gastronomy tube is formed in the outer periphery of the rod-shaped member 3. The outer diameter of the stopped part 33 is not more than the width of the projecting part 103 in the circumferential direction, and a tapered face 32a becoming narrower in the axial tail direction is formed on the outer peripheral face extending from the stopped part 33 in the axial tail direction. The rod-shaped member is composed of an arbor 31 and a tube body 32 inserted into the arbor from outside. The stepped part 33 is composed of the distal end face of the tube body 32.
