Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a precise judgment regardless of the form of a defect candidate by providing a characteristic parameter extracting part for determining the actual maximum dimension of the defect candidate taken as a characteristic parameter by a prescribed processing algorithm.
SOLUTION: A scope 10 is moved in a prescribed direction to take the image signal of the whole circumference of a bore inner wall surface, and a defect candidate is extracted after the image is binarized. In the same manner as judgment standard, actual maximum dimension of the defect candidate is determined. As this maximum dimension, non-corrected long edge length is taken when the diameter converted value is less than the long edge length/corrected short edge length, and the long edge length after distortion correction is taken when the diameter converted value is the long edge length/corrected short edge length or more, and its ratio is a prescribed value A or more. The diameter converted value is taken when the diameter converted value is the long edge length/corrected short edge length or more, and the ratio is less than the prescribed value A, and the long edge/short edge ratio is a prescribed value B or more. When the diameter converted value is the long edge length/corrected short edge length or more, the ratio is less than the prescribed value A, and the long edge/ short edge ratio is less than the prescribed value B, the short edge length after distortion correction is taken.
