Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the accuracy of the judgement of quality and inspecting speed in coding the output of a sensor to receive reflected light from an inspection objective body by preparing a objective face description code through the judgements of a threshold and of a relative value.
CONSTITUTION: Two thresholds Sa, Sb are set up, and a code is prepared as follows. In the case where an image signal level Si exceeds the threshold Sa, the codes No 1, 3, 5, 7 are respectively allotted for spaces a, c, e, g. In the case where two kinds of levels Si exceed the threshold Sb together, two kinds of middle codes, namely codes No 2, 4, 6, are allotted for spaces b, d, f. In the case where the level Si exceeds the threshold Sb, codes No 1, 7 are allotted for spaces h, i. A code No 8 is allotted for a space j. Thus the code can be prepared without computation processing.
