Title:
INSPECTING TOOL FOR CRANKSHAFT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP01110836
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To inspect the surface of a crankshaft thoroughly by installing a plurality of rollers which contact the underside of the crankshaft at least two points and rotatably support the crankshaft from which a bearing member is demounted.

CONSTITUTION: At least two caps are demounted. Since, in this state, a crankshaft 9 is installed onto a crankcase at other positions by a bearing part, the support-contact position in the crankcase is not changed. Each inspecting tool is installed at two positions where the cap is demounted, and each jack bolt 22 is adjusted to allow a pair of rollers 28 of each tool to contact the underside of the crankshaft 9. When the rest caps are demounted, the crankshaft 9 is put into the loaded state in turnable ways onto at least two pairs of rollers 28, and when the crankshaft 9 is turned, the whole peripheral surfaces of the crankshaft 9 can be inspected thoroughly.
