Title:
INSPECTION OF HEAT SEAL DEGREE BY ULTRASONIC WAVES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09243609
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To determine a heat seal degree by bringing an ultrasonic generator into contact with a heat seal part to measure the displacement of the current or the like generated within the generator.

The heat seal part of a packing bag of which the opening is heat-sealed is passed through the gap between the horn part and anvil part of an ultrasonic generator to which a current is supplied. When a faulty portion such as foreign matter or a non-bonded part is present in the heat seal part, heat is generated at the faulty portion and large energy is consumed and large displacement is generated in the current or the like of the generator. This displacement is measured to determine the heat seal degree of the heat seal part. By this method, large displacement is generated in the current or the like of the generator only by merely bringing the heat seal part of the packing bag into contact with the generator and this displacement is grasped to confirm that heat seal is imperfect and the judge accuracy of a heat seal degree is high.
