PURPOSE: To provide a carry-in/installation method of a machine room and a car requiring the use of a tower crane only once, eliminating a car receiving beam, capable of safely carrying in the machine room and the car into a hoistway in a short time, and capable of easily performing the roping work.

CONSTITUTION: The lower section of a machine room 14 and the upper section of a car frame 21 are connected together with slinging wire ropes 34 having the length to keep the floor plane of the car at the same plane as the floor plane of a building when the machine room 14 is installed at a prescribed floor, the integrated machine room 14 and car are suspended from the upper section of a hoistway, the machine room 14 is fixed to a building beam on a prescribed floor, and a main rope is hooked on a balance weight via a hoist sheave.
