Abstract:
To provide a fitting structure for a piece of chair upholstery (a fabric), that can reduce individual difference in the finish of an outer fabric and that facilitates fitting of the outer fabric to a wooden frame.SOLUTION: On the side opposite to the seating side of a fitting groove 18 in a fitting part 17, a hold-down part 20 is formed over the entirety in a peripheral direction. On the seating side of the hold-down part 20 over the entirety in the peripheral direction, there is a shape retaining member 31 in which a peripheral part can be situated. A cushion material 32 is provided on the seating side of the shape retaining member 31, with an upholstery fabric (a fabric) 33 provided on the seating side of the cushion material 32. By the fabric 33, the seating side face of the cushion material 32 is covered, and the peripheral edge of the fabric 33 is fastened to the shape retaining member 31 to form a fabric constitution member 30. On the outer periphery of the fabric constitution member 30, there is provided over the entire peripheral direction a flexible projection 35 which protrudes outward. The outer edge part of the projection 35 is housed in the fitting groove 18 of the fitting part 17, with the fabric constitution member 30 thereby removably installed in the fitting part 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
