Abstract:

To reduce vibration and noise generated by a stepping motor mounted on a syringe pump as well as to protect the stepping motor from impact load generated when the syringe pump is dropped.

A cylindrical elastic body is bonded the outer periphery of a stepping motor housing. An elastic body is inserted between one end surface of the housing and a gearhead plate and secured to form a geared motor. A rib is formed on a base plate on the syringe pump side and the elastic body is bonded to the rib. The geared motor, while being held in intimate contact with the elastic body, is engaged with the rib and installed on the base plate. At the same time, the cylindrical elastic body is covered with a band and the surfaces of the cylindrical elastic body and the band bonded together. The band is further secured rigidly to the based plate.
