Abstract:

To provide an instrument for distilling a raw material, which is useful for preparing a raw material having a small content of impurities to a satisfactory extent, and to provide a preparation method of a crystal for a scintillator from the raw material subjected to distillation processing by the instrument for distilling the raw material.

The instrument 10 for distilling a raw material is for distilling the raw material to be used for preparation of the crystal for a scintillator, and the instrument comprises a raw material housing unit 12 housing the raw material to be treated, a raw material solidifying unit 14 having an inner wall face 14a where the raw material vaporized by heating the raw material housing unit 12 is stuck in a solid state, and a bend part 16 having a bent flow passage 16a that connects the raw material housing unit 12 and the raw material solidifying unit 14.
