To provide an insulated rolling bearing manufacturable at low cost with excellent productivity while maintaining high insulation performance by forming an insulation layer of double layer by thermal spraying method and AD method.

This insulated rolling bearing comprises an inner ring 1, an outer ring 2, and a plurality of rolling elements 4 interposed between the raceway surfaces of these inner and outer rings. The insulation layer 7 is formed on at least one of the inner peripheral surface of the inner ring 1 and the outer peripheral surface of the outer ring 2. The insulation layer 7 comprises at least the layer of an aerosol deposition ceramics film 7b formed on the at least one peripheral surface by aerosol deposition method and the layer of a thermally sprayed ceramics film 7a formed on the aerosol deposition ceramics film by thermal spray method.
