Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulator composition having not only excellent flexibility but also excellent workability and to provide a highly flexible electric wire using the same.SOLUTION: There is provided an insulator composition which comprises (A) an ethylene copolymer and a modified resin, (B) at least one of an ethylene-acrylic rubber and a vinyl acetate rubber, (C) 80 to 140 pts.mass of aluminum hydroxide subjected to silane coupling treatment based on 100 pts.mass of the total of the component (A) and the component (B) and (D) 0.5 to 4 pts.mass of a lubricant based on 100 pts.mass of the total of the component (A) and the component (B), where the ethylene-acrylic rubber and the vinyl acetate rubber satisfy the relation: 20:20=77:3, by pts.mass, the (A) component and the (B) component satisfy the relation: (A):(B)=40:60 to 80:20, by pts.mass and a highly flexible electric wire comprises the insulator composition and a metal conductor covered with an insulator composition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 17
