Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulator having no air in both fittings-support connecting areas, and an extremely excellent insulation sealing, and a manufacturing method and an apparatus.
SOLUTION: An insulator comprises a pair of fittings 2A, 2B fixed at both ends of a cylindrical support 1, and an elastomer insulating member 20 to form circular ribs 18 around the support 1. Each end of the support 1 is inserted into a nozzle-shaped accepting part formed in each fitting 2A or 2B. The insulating member 20 covers both truncated cone shaped surfaces extending between the fittings 2A, 2B and the support 1 and connecting an outer surface of each of the fittings 2A, 2B to an outer surface of the support 1. The surfaces extending therebetween are defined by truncated cone shaped elastomer rings 9 elastically provided to rises of the fittings 2A, 2B in an opening of the accepting part where the end of the support 1 are inserted.
