The intaglio rotary press is provided with an ink supplying means 15 for attaching ink 20 to a plate face 11a having a concavo-convex face, a scraping means 13 for scraping off the ink 20 attached on a convex part excepting the ink 20 in the concave parts of the plate face 11a, a transfer means 12 for conducting printing by transferring the ink 20 in the concave parts of the plate face 11a to an object to be printed 30, and an ink volume reducing means 14 abutting against the plate face for 11a, for removing in advance the residual ink 20 to be scraped off by the scraping means, and for reducing the ink volume to be scraped off by the scraping means 13.
