Abstract:
To provide an intake air cooling system capable of effectively using remaining cooling capacity.SOLUTION: An intake air cooling system 10 includes a refrigerating section 14, a heat recovery section 13 and a cooling section 15. The refrigerating section 14 generates a cold source. The heat recovery section 13 drives the refrigerating section 14. The cooling section 15 can cool intake air of an internal combustion engine 11 by using the cold source generated by the refrigerating section 14 and can cool a cooling refrigerant of a vehicle by using the cold source. Since the cooling section 15 cools the cooling refrigerant other than the intake air, remaining cooling capacity can be effectively used. At a low load of the internal combustion engine 11, when cooling of the intake air is not executed, the cooling refrigerant is cooled. Thus, energy consumption of a cooling device 41 can be reduced, and this leads to improvement of actual fuel economy.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
