The air intake passage 142 of the throttle body device 140 is formed to have the opening area necessary for sucking in the necessary amount of air for the maximum output of the engine in a state that the plate-like throttle valve 145 turning from a fully closed position to a fully opened position is positioned at an intermediate position between the fully closed position and the fully opened position.
