To provide an intake device of an internal combustion engine miniaturizable and capable of providing an intake air resonance effect in a wide speed range.
A communication device 7 installed between resonance tubes (independent intake passages) 6a, 6b comprises a first communication passage 11, a second communication passage 12, and a selector valve 20. The first communication passage 11 has one end 11 connected to the resonance tube 6a and the other end 11 opposed to the first port 13a of the resonance tube 6b. The second communication passage 12 has one end 12 opposed to the second port 13b of the resonance tube 6b and bent at a bent part 12 and the other end 12 arranged parallel to one end 12 . The selector valve 20 connects the other end 11 of the first communication passage 11 to the first port 13a at a first changeover position, connects the other end 11 of the first communication passage 11 to the other end 12 of the second communication passage 12 at a second changeover position, and connects one end 12 of the second communication passage 12 to the second port 13b.
