Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the fuel consumption in the low or intermediate load region and improve the output in the high load region by arranging one injector at one intake port and arranging the other injector at an intake manifold for the communication between both intake ports.

CONSTITUTION: To the combustion chamber of an engine 10, the first intake port 14 is allowed to communicate through the first suction valve 11, and the second intake port 15 is allowed to communicate through the second suction valve 12. Fuel is jetted into the first intake port 14 from the first injector 21. Further, the second injector 22 is arranged at the position separated by a prescribed distance from the installation surface of the cylinder head 13 of an intake manifold 20 which communicates to both the intake ports 14 and 15. While, the first suction valve 11 is opened and cloeed at all times by a valve driving device, and the second suction valve 12 is opened and closed in a high load region. Only the first injector 21 is operated in the low or intermediate load region by a controller 23, and only the second injector 22 is operated in the high load region.
