To prevent an atomizing device from being damaged by continuing the operation of the atomizing motor while the atomization motor is being locked by a method wherein during a heating operation, an atomizing motor is operated only when measured value of a water temperature sensor is motles than a predetermined value and an operation of the atomizing motor is prevented when condensate is frozen.
In an integral type air conditioner in which condensate generated at a heat exchanger is atomized by an atomizing device 26 and discharged out of a house, the atomizing device 26 is provided with a dispersion disk 31 within an atomizing chamber 29, the dispersion disk 31 is rotated by the atomizing motor 37. A water temperature sensor 46 is arranged near a condensate suction port 43 of the atomizing device 26. Only when measured value of the water temperature sensor 46 is motless than a predetermined value during a heating operation, so that operation of the atomizing motor 37 while the condensate is frozen is prevented and the operation is continued while the atomizing motor 37 is being locked and a dangerous condition in which the atomizing device 26 is broken is eliminated.
