Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a structure of a stroke limiting device at a power steering device provided with the stroke limiting device for limiting a stroke of a piston.
SOLUTION: An inside part of a cylinder 4 of a steering body 2 is divided into a first pressure chamber 8 and a second pressure chamber 10 by a piston seal 6a fitted to a piston 6. A gear chamber 15 where a rack 12 formed at the piston 6 and a sector gear 14 are engaged to each other is communicated with the second pressure chamber 10 through a passage 2a. Wall surfaces of the gear chamber 15 and the first pressure chamber 8 are provided with each of valves 36, 38. The valves 36, 38 are provided with plungers 48, 50 forwarding or retracting in valve main bodies 40, 42, and with springs 52, 54 for pressing against the plungers 48, 50 and seated on valve seats 56a, 58a, respectively. Inside portions of the valves 36, 38 are connected by a communication passage 74 formed in the steering body 42. Spring pins 62, 64 are movably press fitted into tips of the plungers 48, 50 in such a way that the spring pins 62, 64 can be moved.
