Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the input/output integration type liquid crystal display device which is simple in construction and has a pen touch input function and display function of high accuracy in combination by constituting a panel for position detection by utilizing the display panel constituting member of the liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION:This liquid crystal display device is constituted by sealing a liquid crystal into a liquid crystal cell 10 disposed with a pair of transparent substrates 11, 12 facing each other and providing at least two IR detecting elements 21, 22 parting from each other within a region 17 exclusive of the prescribed display region 16 of the liquid crystal cell 10. The liquid crystal cell 10 is preferably provided with transparent conductive thin films 23, 24 to serve as the electrodes of the IR detecting elements 21, 22.
