Abstract:
PURPOSE:To control thrust produced on the output shaft in a way to correspond to movement of the input shaft and to make maximum output thrust adjustable by providing an intermediate spool which functions as a three-way directional control valve and is freely movable along the shaft in the void of a piston. CONSTITUTION:An input shaft 6 is fitted in the void of a piston 17 through the intermediate spool 7. The output shaft 18 which has a slightly smaller outside diameter than that of the piston is screwed on the other end of the piston forming into one-piece structure. As high pressure fluid is supplied at a high pressure orifice 26 of the cylinder, upon the input shaft 6 being pushed in, the intermediate spool 7 moves toward the right through a spring 13, thereby high pressure fluid exerts pressure into chambers 5, 21 through a high pressure groove 14, fluid orifice 23 and valve 27 which form a through passage so that the intermediate spool 7 then moves back toward the left by this pressue but remains still poising against spring 13 compression.
