PURPOSE: To enable an intention communication which continuously uses a message display method by providing a selecting means which selects character information being searched for according to the detection of a brain wave of a prescribed frequency by a detecting means.
CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a brain wave switch input device 9 composed of a brain wave detecting device part having a potential detecting circuit which extracts an effective brain wave β wave component utilized for a selection determination switch signal and a machine switch input device part 8 regarding input control operation by a mechanical switch device such as a microswitch operated by the operation of a finger tip, a foot finger, an eyelid, etc., utilizing muscular strength. A character display part which is controlled, handles characters to constitute a message, and generates and display words and documents on a screen. Then, the device is provided with a display device 11 for menu characters and display information on a character panel for document creation, an alarm generator 10 for message evocation, a processor 12, and a controller 13 which controls the storage device, display device 11, and processor 12 to enable an intention communication.
