Abstract:

To provide an inter-unit communication system, where the relation of master/slave can automatically be constructed in plural units which are mutually connected via an analog video signal line.

In a system, at least one or more units provided with video signal output functions are connected to an analog video signal line, and at least one or more units provided with video signal input functions are connected to the line. A unit 10 provided with a video signal output function among the units connected to the analog video signal line 20 becomes a master, having the function of inserting a command into the vertical fly-back interval(VBI) of a video signal. A unit 30 other than the master in the units connected to the analog video signal line becomes a slave, having a function for inserting a response to the command into the vertical fly-back interval.
