Abstract:
To provide an intercom system which is suitable to improve a crime prevention performance, and a visitor authentication method therefor.SOLUTION: An intercom system comprises a collective entrance unit, a home unit and an authentication device. The collective entrance unit includes: a reading section for reading specific information written in an IC tag carried by a deliveryman; an inquiry section for making an inquiry of whether or not the specific information read by the reader is specific information allocated to the deliveryman to the authentication device; and a notification section for notifying the home unit of predetermined information on the basis of a result of an authentication by the authentication device. The authentication device includes: an issuance section by which the specific information is updated in a predetermined cycle and issued; a writing section for writing the specific information which is issued by the issuance section, into the IC tag; and an authentication section for making the authentication about the specific information which is inquired from the collective entrance unit. An inquiry enabled period in which an inquiry can be made to the authentication device can be set to the inquiry section of the collective entrance unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
