Title:
INTERELECTRODE VOLTAGE MEASURING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07243079
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a means capable of safely and easily measuring the interelectrode voltage of an electrolytic device wherein an anode compartment and a cathode compartment are separated by an ion-exchange membrane, etc., and further capable of detecting the generation of pinholes in the membrane, etc., in an early stage.

CONSTITUTION: The interelectrode voltage of an electrolytic cell is detected by a data transmission part connected to each electrolytic cell through a voltage detecting terminal 45 in the interelectrode voltage measuring device of a brine electrolytic device. The voltage data are converted to an optical signal and transmitted to a data processing part. The change in the interelectrode voltage, etc., with time is recognized in the data processing part, and the generation of pinholes in the membrane in each electrolytic cell is easily detected in an early stage based on the change. A resistor 43 and a fuse 44 are furnished in the terminal 45, hence the circuit is not damaged even when short circuit or grounding is caused, and electrolysis and voltage data are transmitted smoothly.
