PURPOSE: To obtain an interference checking device capable of reducing calculation for interference even when the shape of an object becomes complicated or the number of the objects increases.
CONSTITUTION: This interference checking device is constituted of a first object storage means 11 to store the shape and the position of a first object in three- dimensional space, a divisional position information generating means 12 to examine whether there is the object or not about every divided small region in the three-dimensional space from the shape and the position of the first object stored in the first object storage means 11, a divisional position information storage means 13 to store the existent state of the first object in every small region generated by the divisional position information generating means 12, a second object storage means 14 to store a second object existing in the three-dimensional space, and an interference judging means 15 to judge the interference between the first object and the second object from the position of the second object stored in the second object storage means 14 and the position information of the first object stored in the divisional position information storage means 13.
