PURPOSE: To improve deaeration properties by making many fine projections and depressions at least on one side of a thermoplastic resin sheet or film and controlling the 90° peel strength between glass and it so as to satisfy specified conditions.
CONSTITUTION: A plasticizer is added to a thermoplastic resin such as polyvinyl butyral and a sheet or a film is formed by using a calender roll, etc. The film or the sheet is then allowed to pass through an embossing roll so as to make many fine projections and depressions at least on one side and the residual stresses are removed by annealing in a specified condition, thus producing the objective interlayer for a laminated glass, exhibiting peel strengths (S1W3) satisfying (1) 1≤[S(80)/S(50)]≤1.8, (2) 10[g/cm]≤S(80)≤30[g/cm] and (3) 9≤[S(100)/S(80)] when measured after placing a glass plate on the sheet or the film, applying a prescribed pressure within a range of 200 to 1000g/cm2 for 3min at 20°C, 80°C and 100°C respectively. This interlayer can provide a laminated glass free from an air void and excellent in transparency.
