The transfer bar unit 21 is equipped with first transfer bar 15 and second transfer bar 16. The bars 15 and 16 are driven by a pinion 20 through racks 15A and 16A. When a work W is pressed by a front press 12A, the pinion 20 is rotated, and a work holding means 17A installed at the tip of the bar 15 is moved to the upper position of the work W. An air pressure cylinder 23 is operated, the unit 21 is lowered, and the work W is held by the work holding means 17A. At the same time, the work W is supplied to a rear press 12B by a work holding means 17B installed at the tip of the bar 16. The bar 15 is moved, and the work W is placed on a work table 30. Arms 29A and 29B are oscillated, and the work W on the table 30 is transferred to the work holding means 17B. The press line can be acceralated.
