Title:
INTERMITTENTLY OPERATING FLOAT-VALVE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6065976
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make it possible to completely substitute water in a cylinder containing a float with air, by surrounding the lower end of the cylinder with an ejector wall member to define a chamber which is communicated with the atmosphere through a ventilating port so that an ejector mechanism utilizing discharged water as drive water is formed. CONSTITUTION:A float valve comprises a main water supply valve 21, a cylinder 2 surrounding this valve 21 and extending downward, a float 4 disposed in the cylinder 2, a pilot valve 10 actuated by the float 4, a U-pipe 6 and an ejector wall member 3 attached to the lower end opening of the cylinder 2. Further, the main water supply valve 21 is opened and closed in accordance with changes in pressure in a pressure control chamber 20 which are caused by opening and closing a pilot valve 10. With this arrangement, upon opening of the main water supply valve 21 water in a chamber 19 surrounded by the ejector wall member 3 is sucked out by flow from a discharge pipe 5 so that the water level in the chamber 19 is below the lower end of the cylinder 2. Accordingly, water in the cylinder 2 may be completely substituted with air which is introduced from a ventilating passage 18 in the ejector passage wall member 3.
